Johma Salads

Johma is the most well-known manufacturer of chilled spreads and salads in the Netherlands. Founded in 1968 in Losser, a small town in the Twente region, the brand's name is a combination of the founders' names, Johan and Martin.

Starting as a local family business, Johma expanded rapidly to become the Dutch market leader in its category. The company's production remains centered in Losser, emphasizing its heritage with the famous slogan 'Het lekkerste uit Losser' (The tastiest from Losser).

Ownership has changed several times over the decades. Today, Johma is the flagship brand of Signature Foods, a major European player in the chilled food sector. Signature Foods itself is owned by the London-based private equity firm Pamplona Capital Management, which acquired the group in 2020. This ownership ensures Johma's continued dominance in Northern Europe through high-scale manufacturing and distribution.
