The brand's history dates back to 1722, when Johann Daniel Epinius founded a vinegar distillery in Berlin. The Kühne family took over the business in 1761, transforming it into one of Europe's leading producers of vinegar, mustard, and pickled vegetables. To this day, Carl Kühne KG remains a family-owned independent company, preserving its heritage while operating modern production facilities primarily across Germany and neighboring European countries.
