Napoleon is a prominent global brand specializing in high-quality outdoor grills, fireplaces, and HVAC solutions. The company's origins date back to 1976 in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, when Wolfgang Schroeter and his wife Ingrid founded Wolf Steel Ltd. Originally a steel fabrication business making railings, the company pivoted to wood-burning stoves and eventually launched the Napoleon brand in 1980, entering the barbecue market in 1995.
Today, Napoleon remains a family-owned and operated business, with the second generation—sons Christopher and Stephen Schroeter—leading the company as co-CEOs. Manufacturing is a global effort: while premium products like the Prestige and Prestige PRO series are still manufactured at their headquarters in Barrie, Ontario, other models and components are produced in Crittenden, Kentucky, and at Napoleon-owned facilities in China. The company also recently announced an expansion into Mexico to further diversify its supply chain and meet growing demand in the North American market.
