Elmex dental gel

Elmex is a renowned oral hygiene brand that specializes in amine fluoride-based products. Developed in the 1960s in collaboration with the Dental Institute of the University of Zurich, it was originally launched by the Swiss company GABA (Goldene Apotheke Basel). The brand is highly regarded in Europe for its scientific approach to cavity prevention and enamel remineralization, particularly through its signature dental gel used for weekly intensive fluoride treatment.

In 2004, the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive acquired the GABA Group, bringing Elmex under its global umbrella of oral care brands. Today, while the brand retains its Swiss heritage and scientific identity, manufacturing is centralized in large-scale facilities across Europe, with a major production hub located in Świdnica, Poland. Elmex remains a staple in pharmacies and supermarkets, marketed as a professional-grade solution for dental health.
