Freixenet Prosecco is a premium sparkling wine produced in the renowned Prosecco region of northern Italy. The Freixenet brand was founded in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Spain, by the Ferrer family in 1861. In 2018, the company entered a major global partnership with the German sparkling wine giant Henkell. This merger created the Henkell Freixenet group, which is currently the world's leading sparkling wine producer. The ultimate parent company is Geschwister Oetker Beteiligungen KG, a German holding company that manages high-end consumer brands, ensuring Freixenet's distribution and production standards remain at a global top-tier level.
