Gipsy Hill Hepcat is a prominent session IPA known for its vibrant stone fruit and mandarin flavors, achieved through a blend of Mosaic, Citra, Motueka, and Ekuanot hops. Originally founded in 2014 by Sam McMeekin and Charlie Shaw in South London, the brand quickly established itself as a staple of the UK craft beer scene, operating out of its Hamilton Road facility.
In late 2024, following financial challenges, Gipsy Hill was acquired by Sunrise Alliance Beverages, a growing UK brewing group that also owns brands like Curious Brewing, St. Peter’s Brewery, and Wild Beer Co. While production was historically centered in London, the company announced in late 2025 that the brewing of its core range, including Hepcat, would transition to the Curious Brewing facility in Ashford, Kent, to improve operational efficiency and address rising overhead costs.
