Sun Group is one of Vietnam's premier private economic groups, established in 2007 by a group of Vietnamese entrepreneurs who had previously been successful in Ukraine. The company was founded by Lê Viết Lam, who was an early business partner of Vingroup's founder. Sun Group returned to Vietnam to focus on high-end tourism projects, starting with the iconic Ba Na Hills in Da Nang.

Over the years, Sun Group has expanded its portfolio to include world-class amusement parks under the 'Sun World' brand, massive infrastructure projects like Van Don International Airport, and luxury hospitality developments such as the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort. The group remains a privately held Vietnamese conglomerate with its headquarters in Da Nang, playing a pivotal role in shaping the modern tourism landscape of the country.
