Gregg's is an iconic New Zealand brand with a history dating back to 1861 when William Gregg established a coffee and spice business in Dunedin. Over more than 160 years, it has become a staple of New Zealand households, known for its instant coffee, roasted coffee, and various food ingredients. The brand's heritage is deeply rooted in the Otago region, and it remains a significant employer in the local manufacturing sector.

Today, Gregg's is part of the Cerebos Gregg's business unit. While the brand remains proudly Kiwi in identity, its ownership has transitioned through international corporate acquisitions. It was formerly under the umbrella of Cerebos Pacific, which was owned by the Japanese beverage giant Suntory. In a major industry shift, the food and beverage business was acquired by the Kraft Heinz Company.

Currently, Gregg's operates under the ultimate ownership of Kraft Heinz, a multinational food conglomerate headquartered in the United States. Despite this global ownership, the production for many of its core coffee lines continues to take place in New Zealand, maintaining its historical connection to its Dunedin origins while benefiting from the distribution network of one of the world's largest food companies.
