DeWalt is an iconic American brand of power tools and hand tools for the construction, manufacturing, and woodworking industries. Founded in 1923 by Raymond E. DeWalt, the inventor of the radial arm saw, the company quickly became a staple in professional job sites. Originally a standalone company, it was acquired by American Machine and Foundry Co., Inc. in 1949 and later sold to Black & Decker in 1960.

Today, DeWalt is a flagship brand under Stanley Black & Decker, the global leader in tools and outdoor equipment following the 2010 merger of Stanley Works and Black & Decker.
