Granado Pharmácias is one of Brazil's most iconic and historic pharmaceutical brands, founded in 1870 by José Antônio Coxito Granado. Originally established as a pharmacy in Rio de Janeiro, the brand became the Official Pharmacy of the Brazilian Imperial Family. The Antiseptic Soap shown is one of their most traditional offerings, known for its medicinal heritage and botanical formulations.
While the brand maintains its century-old identity and vintage aesthetics, its ownership evolved significantly in the 21st century. In 1994, it was acquired by British entrepreneur Christopher Freeman, who revitalized the company. In 2016, a minority stake (approx. 35%) was acquired by the Spanish fashion and fragrance giant Puig to facilitate international expansion. Despite this, management remains largely centered in Brazil, where the vast majority of its products are manufactured in its industrial complex in Rio de Janeiro.
