Sultana biscuits

Sultana is a well-known brand of fruit-based biscuits and snacks that gained significant popularity in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The brand is famous for its crisp biscuits filled with raisins (sultanas) and other fruit fillings, marketed as a healthier snack alternative.

Originally launched in the Netherlands during the mid-20th century under the Koninklijke Verkade factory, the brand became a staple in the Dutch snack market. Over decades of corporate consolidation, it transitioned into the portfolio of United Biscuits. Today, as part of pladis Global—the confectionery arm of the Turkish conglomerate Yıldız Holding—Sultana is manufactured primarily in the Netherlands and remains a dominant leader in the fruit biscuit category across the Benelux region.
