Texels Skuumkoppe 0.0 is an alcohol-free version of the famous 'Skuumkoppe' wheat beer, which takes its name from the white foam heads on the waves of the North Sea around the island of Texel. Originally brewed by the Texelse Bierbrouwerij, the brand is deeply rooted in Dutch maritime tradition and island culture, often utilizing local ingredients like barley and water from the island.
While the brand maintains its artisanal identity and strong ties to its home on the island of Texel, ownership shifted in late 2020. Since then, the brewery has been part of HEINEKEN Netherlands. This partnership has allowed Texels to expand its distribution significantly across the Netherlands and international markets. The 0.0 variant was introduced to meet the growing demand for craft-style non-alcoholic options, ensuring the characteristic dark wheat flavor is accessible to everyone.
