Founded by Tony Rowse in 1938 in his shed in Ewelme, Oxfordshire, the brand began with a small and passionate operation that eventually grew into the nation’s largest honey supplier. Today, the company remains headquartered in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, where it continues to pack and distribute a wide variety of honey products.

While the brand has a strong British heritage, honey is a global commodity. Rowse sources its blossom and manuka honeys from a diverse range of locations including the UK, Europe, and non-EU countries like Mexico, New Zealand, and Brazil to ensure consistent supply and variety. The product is then blended and packed at their facility in the United Kingdom.

Since 2010, Rowse has been owned by the Valeo Foods Group. Valeo Foods is a leading international ambient food group headquartered in Ireland, known for owning several iconic heritage brands. Through this acquisition, Rowse has expanded its reach while maintaining its commitment to honey purity and beekeeping conservation programs like 'Hives for Lives'.
