The brand's inception was inspired by a Vogue magazine article titled "Can Great Skin Be Created?" featuring dermatologist Dr. Norman Orentreich. This led to the development of the first ever dermatologist-driven, allergy-tested, and 100% fragrance-free cosmetic line, which successfully launched at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City.
