Technisub Diving Equipment

Technisub is a premier brand in the underwater world, synonymous with Italian engineering and high-quality diving equipment since its inception. Founded in Genoa, Italy, in 1962 by Luigi Ferraro—a pioneer of modern diving—the brand quickly became a global leader in the design and production of masks, fins, and breathing apparatus. Throughout its history, Technisub has maintainted its manufacturing roots in Genoa, which serves as a center of excellence for mechanical production and rubber molding.

Over the decades, the brand's expertise led to it becoming a core part of the Aqua Lung International group. This integration allowed Technisub to combine its traditional Italian craftsmanship with the global reach of the world's largest diving equipment manufacturer. Today, the brand is part of the Aqua Lung Group, which is owned by the private equity firm Barings (following its acquisition in 2023). While many products are now co-branded or integrated into the broader Aqua Lung line, the legacy of Technisub continues through the high-performance scuba and snorkeling gear produced in its Italian facilities.
