Production is centered in Iran, with mass manufacturing facilities established to meet both domestic needs and potential export demands.

The brand is deeply rooted in Iran's state-affiliated pharmaceutical sector. It was developed by the Shifa Pharmed Industrial Group, which operates under the larger umbrella of the Barkat Pharmaceutical Group. This group is closely tied to the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO), an organization under the direct supervision of the Iranian leadership. The vaccine has become a symbol of Iranian self-sufficiency in biotechnology and has been administered to high-ranking officials, including the Supreme Leader and the President of Iran.
