Newline sportswear

Newline is a performance sportswear brand founded in 1981 by Helge Petersen, a member of the Danish Special Forces. The brand was born when Petersen realized his parachute material remained dry even in wet conditions, whereas his clothes were soaked. This insight led to the creation of the world's first functional running suit using parachute fabric.

Over the decades, the brand has focused on high-performance apparel specifically designed for running, cycling, and cross-training. In 2018, the brand was acquired by the Danish conglomerate Hummel, which has since integrated it into its global distribution and manufacturing network. While the brand carries a strong Danish heritage, its products are manufactured across a global supply chain to maintain technical standards and scalability.
