La Semeuse is a renowned Swiss coffee roastery founded in 1900 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Marc Bloch. The brand is famous for roasting its beans at a high altitude (1,000 meters above sea level), which allows for a lower roasting temperature and preserves the delicate aromas of the coffee beans without creating bitterness.

Starting as a small family grocery business focusing on oil and coffee, it specialized in coffee over the decades to become a symbol of Swiss roasting excellence. In 2015, the company was acquired by the Bihler family, owners of the Choco-Diffusion group, ensuring that the brand remains under Swiss ownership and maintains its traditional production methods in the Neuchâtel region.
