Today, MediaMarkt is owned by Ceconomy AG, a company formed following the demerger of the Metro Group in 2017. The brand operates under a decentralized structure, where local store managers are often shareholders and have significant autonomy over pricing and inventory, allowing the brand to adapt quickly to local market demands.
