Over the decades, Scapino has navigated various ownership transitions. For a long period, it was part of the Macintosh Retail Group until that conglomerate's bankruptcy in late 2015. Following this, the Ziengs family successfully reacquired the brand through the family-owned enterprise Ziengs Schoenen.
