Marcilla is a prestigious Spanish coffee brand with a heritage dating back to 1907. It was originally established by the Marcilla family in Barcelona, Spain, and has since become one of the most recognized household names in the Spanish coffee market. The product shown, Gran Aroma Mezcla, is a classic 'mezcla' (blend) of roasted and torrefacto beans, a style highly popular in the Iberian Peninsula.
Today, the brand is owned by JDE Peet's, a global coffee and tea powerhouse headquartered in the Netherlands. While the brand accounts for its Spanish roots, its manufacturing processes can occur across various European facilities managed by its parent company to satisfy international and domestic demand. Following the merger of D.E Master Blenders 1753 and Mondelez's coffee division, the brand became part of the Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) portfolio, which eventually evolved into JDE Peet's.
