Bret's Salt & Vinegar chips

Bret's is a celebrated French brand of potato chips, widely recognized for its strong ties to the Brittany region. Founded in 1995 by Alain Glon, the brand emerged from the Glon group’s desire to create a dedicated potato chip manufacturing facility in Central Brittany (Pontaivy). The company, Altho, remains a family-owned enterprise, distinguishing itself from international competitors through its commitment to local sourcing and authentic regional production.

The chips are produced in Saint-Gérand, using potatoes primarily sourced from Breton farmers. Bret's has gained significant market share in France by specializing in original and bold flavored chips, such as the Salt & Vinegar variety seen here, as well as unique French flavors like Camembert or Poulet Grillé.
