Orlando is a historic Spanish brand founded in 1922 in Los Arcos, Navarra. Initially known for its preserved fish and vegetables, it became an icon of Spanish cuisine with the launch of its famous fried tomato (tomate frito) in 1968.
The brand has seen several ownership changes over the decades; it was acquired by RJR Nabisco in the 1980s, then passed to Kraft Foods. Currently, Orlando is a key brand within the portfolio of the Kraft Heinz Company. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Spain with its primary production facilities located in Alfaro (La Rioja), it benefits from the global distribution and R&D networks of its American-based parent company.
