Vivera is a pioneering brand in the plant-based food industry, originally founded in the Netherlands in 1990. The brand focuses on high-quality meat substitutes made from soy, wheat, and pea proteins. Their manufacturing facility remains primarily located in Holten, Netherlands, where they produce a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian products for the European market.

Since 2021, Vivera has been a part of the JBS S.A. family, a global food giant based in Brazil. JBS, through its subsidiary Pilgrim's Pride (UK), acquired the brand to expand its presence in the fast-growing alternative protein sector. Despite being owned by a Brazilian multinational, Vivera continues to operate with its Dutch heritage as a core identity.
