Sun is a historic brand specializing in automatic dishwashing detergents and machine care products. Originally developed as one of the first brands dedicated to early home dishwashers, it has become a household staple in Europe for its effective cleaning formulas.

The brand was originally established by the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever. While Unilever managed the brand for decades, it was recently part of a major strategic shift. In early 2024, Unilever agreed to sell its Elida Beauty division, which includes several home and personal care brands including Sun, to the American private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners. Production for the French market remains localized to maintain supply chain efficiency, often utilizing facilities in France or nearby European regions.
