Lowa is a premier German brand specializing in outdoor footwear, founded in 1923 by Lorenz Wagner in Jetzendorf, Bavaria. The Renegade series, visible in the image, is one of their most iconic and best-selling models globally. Unlike many outdoor brands that have shifted production to Asia, Lowa maintains a strong European manufacturing base, with most of its trekking boots produced in Slovakia at their dedicated facility in Bošany.
The brand has remained true to its high-quality leather craftsmanship and technical innovation, such as the integration of Gore-Tex linings. In 1993, the company was acquired by the Italian Tecnica Group, which remains the ultimate owner. This partnership has allowed Lowa to expand its global distribution while preserving its Bavarian heritage and European-centric production standards.
