Duyvis is a historic Dutch brand that has become synonymous with social gatherings and snack culture in the Netherlands. Founded in 1806, it originally started as an oil and livestock feed company before pivoting its focus to the snack market, where it gained massive popularity for its wide variety of roasted peanuts, mixed nuts, and dipping sauces.
Today, the brand's production is deeply rooted in the Netherlands, specifically in Zaandam, where its dedicated production facility continues to process various nut products for European and international markets. The brand is famous for its 'Fuifnummer' marketing campaigns and its role in popularizing dipping powders (Duyvis Dipmix) in the Dutch market.
While Duyvis started as a family-owned enterprise, it underwent several acquisitions during the late 20th century. It was part of the AkzoNobel group and Sara Lee before finally being acquired by the multinational conglomerate PepsiCo. Under PepsiCo’s ownership, Duyvis continues to operate as a leading snack brand in the Benelux region, leveraging PepsiCo's global distribution and marketing infrastructure.
