Midea is a Chinese electrical appliance manufacturer, headquartered in Beijiao town, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. As of 2024, the brand is widely recognized as one of the world's largest manufacturers of appliances and air conditioning units.

The brand was founded in 1968 by He Xiangjian. In Brazil, Midea operates through a significant joint venture with Carrier, forming Midea Carrier, which manages distribution and local manufacturing in plants located in Manaus and Canoas. This local presence allows Midea to maintain a dominant position in the Latin American household appliance market, offering products ranging from kitchen appliances like the microwave shown to complex climate control systems.
