Dæhlie Sportswear, originally branded as Bjørn Dæhlie, was established in 1996 by the legendary Norwegian cross-country skier Bjørn Dæhlie. The brand was born from a desire to create high-performance technical apparel that could meet the rigorous demands of elite winter athletes. Since its inception, it has become one of the most recognized names in the Nordic skiing world, serving as an official supplier for the Norwegian National Cross-Country Ski Team.

In 2011, the brand was acquired by the Norwegian investment group Active Brands AS. This transition allowed for significant international expansion beyond the Scandinavian market. While the headquarters and design processes remain rooted in Oslo, Norway, manufacturing is outsourced to specialized textile facilities across Europe and Asia to ensure technical precision.

Today, Active Brands AS serves as the ultimate owner, managing Dæhlie alongside other iconic outdoor brands like Kari Traa and Sweet Protection. The company continues to focus on innovation and sustainability in functional sportswear, maintaining Bjørn Dæhlie's legacy of excellence in endurance sports.
