The RACE Report (Racial Action for the Climate Emergency) is a specialized initiative focused on increasing racial and ethnic diversity within the environmental and climate sectors. Founded in the United Kingdom, it serves as a transparency and reporting framework for charities, trusts, and foundations to track staff and governance representation. It acts as a professional consulting and data-analysis service aimed at driving systemic change within UK-based sustainability organizations.
The project was established by a coalition of four founding partners: Hindu Climate Action, Nature Youth Connection and Education, South Asians for Sustainability, and SOS-UK. While it operates as a tool for public benefit, the reporting mechanism and strategic oversight are managed by its accountable parent organization. It is primarily funded by major environmental grant-makers like the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Synchronicity Earth.
