Originally launched in the mid-1930s in collaboration with Franz Goebel, the figurines have historically been manufactured in Rödental, Germany. Following several corporate reorganizations and the end of production by the Goebel company in 2008, the brand was acquired by Manufaktur Rödental and later passed to various investors to maintain the tradition of handcrafted German ceramic artistry.
