Chicco is a globally recognized brand that originated in Italy during the late 1950s. It was founded by Pietro Catelli, who named the brand after his first son, Enrico (nicknamed Chicco). The brand quickly became a leader in the juvenile products industry, specializing in everything from baby apparel to strollers and car seats. Today, Chicco remains a cornerstone of the baby gear market, blending Italian design with rigorous safety standards.
While the brand's heritage and design center are firmly rooted in Italy, the manufacturing of many of its hardware products, such as the GoFit Plus booster seat, primarily takes place in China to leverage specialized production facilities. Chicco is owned by Artsana Group, a massive Italian healthcare and juvenile goods company. Artsana itself is currently controlled by Investindustrial, an international investment firm, ensuring the brand has the global reach and financial backing to innovate in child safety technology.
