Santa Maria is a iconic Scandinavian spice brand with its roots in Gothenburg, Sweden. Originally founded as Nordfalks in 1911, the brand evolved from a small tea and spice shop into the largest seasoning company in the Nordic region. Today, the brand is widely recognized for its diverse range of spices, herbs, and Mexican food concepts.

While the brand originated in Sweden, the manufacturing of many of its products, including the popular spice grinders and jars, takes place at Santa Maria's large production facility in Saue, Estonia. The brand is currently owned by the Paulig Group, a Finnish family-owned company known for its high-quality food and beverage portfolio, including coffee and international food concepts. Paulig acquired Santa Maria to strengthen its position in the European seasoning market.
