Licor del Polo Clorofila toothpaste

Licor del Polo is one of the most iconic dental hygiene brands in Spain, with a history dating back to 1876 when it was created by a pharmacist in Bilbao. Originally known for its unique liquid dentifrice, the brand has expanded into a wide range of toothpaste varieties, including the popular 'Clorofila' (chlorophyll) version shown here.

While the brand maintains its strong Spanish identity and local manufacturing presence, it underwent a significant change in ownership. For decades, it was a staple brand of the German multinational Henkel. However, in late 2022 and early 2023, Henkel sold its laundry and home care business in several markets, including the divestment of its oral care business in Spain. Today, the brand is owned by the Swedish group Humble Group AB, which specializes in consumer health and sustainable goods.
