Landliebe is one of Germany's most recognizable dairy brands, established in 1980 by the Südmilch AG. Known for its traditional glass jar packaging and emphasis on natural ingredients, the brand cultivates a 'countryside' image. Over the decades, the brand's ownership has shifted through major dairy conglomerates. Following the merger of Südmilch into Campina (later FrieslandCampina), the brand became a staple of the Dutch dairy cooperative's portfolio. In a significant strategic move in 2022-2023, the Müller Group acquired Landliebe and other assets from FrieslandCampina Germany. Today, the brand is managed under the umbrella of Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller, though it maintains its distinct identity and domestic production facilities in Germany.
