Over the years, the technology and brand have undergone significant corporate ownership changes. SecureNet was acquired by Worldpay in 2014 to bolster its omni-channel capabilities. Following a series of major industry consolidations, including Worldpay's merger with Vantiv and subsequent acquisition by FIS (Fidelity National Information Services), the brand now operates under the umbrella of Worldpay, which was later spun back out as a majority-owned entity by GTCR in partnership with FIS. Today, it remains a core component of digital payment gateway integrations globally.
