Disturbia (film)

Disturbia is a 2007 American psychological thriller film directed by D. J. Caruso and starring Shia LaBeouf. The film was a significant commercial success, grossing over $118 million worldwide against a modest $20 million budget. It served as a modern teen-oriented homage to Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window, though it faced and eventually won a legal battle regarding copyright claims from the estate of the original short story source for the Hitchcock classic.

The project was developed through The Montecito Picture Company and was a key title for DreamWorks Pictures during the mid-2000s. Its production involved notable figures such as Steven Spielberg, who served as an executive producer.
