Accurist Watch

Accurist is a quintessential British watchmaker established in 1946 in London. Founded by Asher and Rebecca Loftus, the brand was created with the goal of providing high-quality timepieces that combined precision with value. During its peak in the mid-20th century, the brand became synonymous with British style and innovation, famously being the official timekeeper for the British Telecom Speaking Clock and holding a longstanding association with the Greenwich Royal Observatory.

While the brand's heart and design headquarters remain in the United Kingdom, manufacturing has evolved over the decades. Historically, the brand utilized Swiss movements and assembly, but in modern years, production is distributed across multiple countries, utilizing high-quality Japanese movements (such as those from Miyota) and assembly facilities in Asia to maintain competitive pricing.

In 2014, the Loftus family sold the brand to Time Products (UK) Limited, which is owned by Marcus Margulies. This acquisition integrated Accurist into a portfolio that includes other notable British horological names like Sekonda. Today, Accurist continues to operate as a heritage-focused brand under British ownership, focusing on timeless designs and reliable craftsmanship.
