Zote is a legendary brand of laundry bar soap that has become a household staple across Mexico and the United States. It was first launched in 1970 by Fábrica de Jabón La Corona, a 100% Mexican-owned company founded by Esteban González Padilla. The soap is widely recognized for its high fatty acid content, which makes it exceptionally effective at removing tough stains while remaining gentle enough for hand-washing delicate garments.
Throughout its history, Zote has maintained its traditional manufacturing process in Mexico. Unlike many other global household brands that have been acquired by multinational conglomerates, Zote remains independently owned by its original creator, Fábrica de Jabón La Corona. The brand is celebrated for its distinctive pink, white, and blue bars, as well as its versatile use in everything from laundry to catfishing and DIY cleaning solutions.
