In terms of ownership, Alpro was acquired by the American food giant WhiteWave Foods in 2009. Later, in 2017, the multinational corporation Danone acquired WhiteWave Foods, bringing Alpro under its global umbrella. Manufacturing for Alpro products takes place at several specialized facilities across Europe. The main production hub remains in Wevelgem, Belgium, which is one of the largest plant-based dairy alternative factories in the world. Additional manufacturing sites are located in Issenheim, France, and Kettering, United Kingdom, to serve their respective regional markets efficiently.
