Mönchshof is a traditional German beer brand with roots in the monastic brewing culture of Kulmbach, Bavaria. The 'Naturtrüb's Alkoholfrei' (Natural Cloudy Alcohol-free) variant is a non-alcoholic beer brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law. The brand is produced by the Kulmbacher Brauerei AG, a historic brewery established in 1846 following the merger of several local breweries.
Today, the brand's production and identity are deeply tied to the Upper Franconia region. While the brand maintains its traditional brewing heritage, its ownership has transitioned to a larger corporate umbrella. The majority stake in Kulmbacher Brauerei remains held by the Brau Holding International, which is a joint venture between the German Schörghuber Corporate Group and Heineken. Ultimately, the Schörghuber Corporate Group remains the primary controlling entity based in Munich, Germany.
