Tyrrells is a renowned British brand of potato crisps, famous for its hand-cooked production method and quirky, vintage-style packaging. Founded in 2002 by William Chase at Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire, England, the brand was built on the philosophy of using locally sourced potatoes and traditional frying techniques to create a premium snacking experience.
Over the years, the brand has changed ownership several times. It was first sold to Investcorp in 2008, followed by Amplify Snack Brands in 2016. Today, Tyrrells is part of the global portfolio of KP Snacks, which is owned by the German-based Intersnack Group. While the primary manufacturing remains concentrated in Leominster, Herefordshire, to maintain its authentic British heritage, the brand's global reach under Intersnack ensures distribution and localized operations across various international markets.
