Cinnabon is a world-renowned bakery brand famous for its signature large, indulgent cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese frosting. The brand was founded in 1985 in Seattle, Washington, by Rich and Greg Komen of Restaurants Unlimited. They spent months developing the 'World's Greatest Cinnamon Roll' with the help of a food scientist before opening the first location in the SeaTac Mall.

Today, Cinnabon products are manufactured and prepared fresh in thousands of franchise locations across more than 50 countries. Manufacturing of the dry mixes and signature Makara Cinnamon is coordinated through a global supply chain to maintain consistency in taste and quality across international borders. The brand has also expanded into retail through partnerships, offering Cinnabon-flavored snacks and ingredients in grocery stores.

Since 2004, Cinnabon has been part of a larger portfolio of quick-service restaurant brands. It is currently owned by GoTo Foods (formerly known as Focus Brands), which is a platform company for several major food service icons. The ultimate ownership lies with Roark Capital Group, a private equity firm that manages a vast array of consumer and business-service companies globally.
