Clearasil is a globally recognized skincare brand specializing in acne treatment and prevention. Founded in the United States in 1950 by Ivan Combe, it became famous for its tinted acne cream. The brand was originally developed with the help of chemist Kedzie Teller. Over the decades, the brand has changed hands several times, moving from Richardson-Vicks to Procter & Gamble, and eventually being acquired by the British consumer goods giant Reckitt Benckiser (now Reckitt) in 2006. Production occurs in various facilities globally to serve different regional markets, including sites in Europe and North America. Today, Reckitt continues to own and manage the brand as part of its health and hygiene portfolio.
