Buff is the pioneer of the multifunctional tubular headwear category. The brand was invented in 1991 by Joan Rojas, a Spanish motorcyclist who sought a more effective way to protect his neck and head from the wind and cold while riding. He developed a seamless microfiber tube that could be worn in various ways, leading to the birth of the Original Buff.
Today, the brand remains deeply rooted in its place of origin, with approximately 90% of its products still manufactured at its dedicated factory in Igualada, near Barcelona, Spain. This vertical integration allows for high quality control and sustainable production practices. The brand has expanded worldwide, becoming a staple for athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and travelers.
Buff remains a family-owned enterprise under its parent company, Original Buff S.A. It has resisted being swallowed by larger multinational conglomerates, maintaining its independence and headquarters in Spain while distributing its versatile accessories to over 70 countries globally.
