It initially focused on basketball apparel and footwear, growing rapidly through its iconic "And1 Mixtape Tour" which popularized streetball culture globally. The brand is well-known for its distinctive player logo and its history of endorsing NBA stars. Today, AND1 stands as a budget-friendly athletic brand with wide distribution.

While the brand was born in the United States, its manufacturing processes are primarily outsourced to various facilities in Southeast Asia, with China being a major hub for its production. Ownership of the brand has changed several times throughout its history. Since 2011, AND1 has been owned by Galaxy Brands, which later merged with Sequential Brands Group. As of current operations leading into 2026, the brand is part of the portfolio managed by Sequential Brands Group (or its successor entities), headquartered in the United States. In many regions, the distribution is managed via major retailers such as Walmart.
