Nutella Ice Cream

Nutella Ice Cream is a direct extension of the world-famous hazelnut spread brand, Nutella. While the original spread was created in Alba, Italy, in 1964 by Michele Ferrero, this frozen variant was officially launched globally in 2024 to celebrate the brand's 60th anniversary.

The production of Nutella Ice Cream is largely centered at the Ferrero Group's dedicated facilities in Alzira, Spain. This specific production line was established following Ferrero's acquisition of Ice Cream Factory Comaker (ICFC) in 2019, which transformed into a major hub for Ferrero’s entry into the frozen dessert market. In addition to the Spanish site, the group utilizes its extensive manufacturing network, including facilities in Italy, to meet regional demand across Europe.

Today, Nutella remains a jewel in the portfolio of the Ferrero Group, one of the world's largest private confectionery companies. Headquartered in Alba, Italy, and governed through Ferrero International S.A. in Luxembourg, the company remains strictly family-owned. Giovanni Ferrero, the grandson of the founder, leads the group as Executive Chairman, steering the brand's expansion from a breakfast staple into diverse categories including biscuits and ice cream.
