Panadol Extra Strength Acetaminophen

Panadol is a globally recognized brand of paracetamol (known as acetaminophen in some regions), widely used for pain relief and fever reduction. The brand was originally introduced by the Sterling Drug company in the United Kingdom in 1955. Over the decades, ownership shifted through various corporate acquisitions, eventually becoming a flagship brand for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

In 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into a new independent company named Haleon. As of 2024 and beyond, Haleon is the ultimate owner of the Panadol brand. Manufacturing occurs in multiple strategic locations globally, including Ireland, Australia, and various sites in Asia and the Americas, to serve regulated pharmaceutical markets worldwide. In Mexico and other Latin American markets, it is a staple of over-the-counter medicine cabinets.
