Mahou Sin is a popular Spanish non-alcoholic beer produced by the Mahou-San Miguel Group. The brand's history dates back to 1890 when the first Mahou brewery was opened in Madrid on Amaniel Street by the children of Casimiro Mahou. Over more than a century, it has become one of Spain's most iconic beverage brands.
Today, the product is primarily manufactured in Spain, with major production facilities in Madrid, Guadalajara, and other Spanish regions to meet both domestic and international demand. This specific variety, Mahou Sin, was launched in 1990 as one of the first non-alcoholic beers in the Spanish market, focusing on maintaining the signature flavor of its alcoholic predecessor.
Since 2000, after the merger between Mahou and San Miguel, the brand has been under the ownership of Mahou San Miguel. This group remains a 100% Spanish-owned company, controlled by the Gervas and Mahou families, making it a rare example of a large brewery that has not been acquired by global conglomerates.
