Wagner Steinofen Pizza Diavolo

Wagner is one of the most prominent frozen pizza brands in Europe, particularly in Germany. The brand origins trace back to 1968 in Nonnweiler, Germany, where it was founded by Ernst Wagner. The company became famous for introducing the first frozen stone-baked pizza to the market, which remains its signature product line today.

The manufacturing primarily takes place at the historic production site in Nonnweiler (Otzenhausen), Saarland, Germany. While the brand remains deeply rooted in German tradition, its ownership transitioned to the Swiss multinational Nestlé in the early 2000s. Nestlé initially acquired a stake in 2005 before taking full control. However, since 2023, the frozen food business including Wagner has been part of a joint venture between Nestlé and PAI Partners, known as European Pizza Group.
